My love for photography comes from a lifetime of memories.

It started with sitting on the floor, flipping through boxes of printed photos with my parents. Images of their childhoods, my sisters and I growing up, family gatherings, old friends, and moments that might have otherwise been forgotten. Those photographs became stories, and those stories became some of my most treasured memories.

As a kid, I was always the one with a camera in hand. I convinced my sisters, friends, and just about anyone willing to stand still for a few minutes to let me take their photo. I spent countless hours at my sister's softball games, sitting behind the catcher with my camera pressed against a chain-link fence I was convinced was ruining every shot. Looking back, I realize I wasn't just taking photos—I was learning how to preserve moments that mattered.

Today, that same feeling is what drives me.

I believe the most meaningful photographs aren't just beautiful images; they're reminders of how a moment felt. A laugh you'll want to hear again, a hug you'll wish you could hold onto a little longer, the people you love exactly as they are in this season of life.

Maybe that's why I've always been drawn to film, Polaroids, and anything with a little nostalgia. My film camera was passed down from my grandmother, and every time I use it, I'm reminded of why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Because moments become memories, and memories become part of our story.

Capturing those stories doesn't just feel like my job—it feels like exactly what I'm meant to do.
